ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the MLB season and special events like the London Series have been put on hold for the time being ... which will give the St. Louis Cardinals some extra time to brush up on their knowledge of England and some of the slang they may hear around town.
We quizzed a few of the Cardinals players on the meaning of some common slang and phrases heard around London. Watch the video above to hear their answers.
Here were some of the phrases:
"Bagsy" - Basically it’s calling dibs on something or shotgun seat in a car.
"Bob's your uncle" - A process that seems more difficult that it actually.
"Cheeky" - Something that’s usually mean or silly, but comes across as funny.
"Cream crackered" - You’re really tired.
"Give me a tinkle on the buzzer” - Call me.
"Leg it" - Make a run for it.
"Over egg the pudding" - Going too far with something.
"Tickety-boo" - It’s all good.
