ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The greater St. Louis area is under a Tornado Watch Wednesday afternoon and into the evening with damaging wind, large hail, and a couple of tornadoes possible.
A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Illinois and Missouri until 9 p.m.
Also, an enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms reaches from central Missouri to southern Illinois.
Storms are expected to move through Columbia and Jefferson City after 2 p.m. then reach the St. Louis area by 6 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
