(KMOX) — Owners of Amazon's virtual assistant Alexa will soon be able to give commands to Samuel L. Jackson — well, sort of.
At an annual event to roll out new devices, Amazon announced Wednesday that updates are coming to its smart devices, including the ability to download Samuel L. Jackson's voice as Alexa.
According to Amazon, "He can tell you jokes, let you know if it’s raining, set timers and alarms, play music and more – all with a bit of his own personality."
@SamuelLJackson will now interact with @amazon Echo customers. Imagine reprimanding Mr. Jackson instead of @alexa99. Well there’s a U rated version of responses but Be ready to hear some A rated ones as well...@AmazonEchoIndia @amazonIN #AskAlexa pic.twitter.com/afNT7uXHYR

September 25, 2019 Jackson's voice, featuring explicit and non-explicit versions, is the first of a celebrity for Alexa. His voice is a "special price" during 2019 of 99 cents, and Amazon says it plans to release more celebrity voices next year.
In addition to the new Alexa updates, Amazon launched "Day One Editions" of new products to be sold in limited volumes, and "if customers love them, we'll double down and build a lot more."

One of the new products to be tested on the market is Echo Frames — Alexa-enabled glasses. Though they do not feature a camera yet, the glasses keep you handsfree while being connected to Alexa all day long.
The second new product is called Echo Loop, which is essentially a smart ring equipped with two microphones that are activated by the tap of a button.
