(KMOX) - Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is dropping hints that her next move might be a run for governor of Arkansas.

On Monday, Sanders launched a new campaign-style website inviting fans to "stay in touch" by registering their names and email addresses.

While currently the site seems geared towards booking Sanders for speaking appearances, many are speculating that she could run for governor of Arkansas, an office her father Mike Huckabee held from 1996 to 2007.

POLITICO reports at least three people who have spoken to Sanders, tell them she is considering the run and one source said, "She’s extremely serious."

In June, political strategist Jon Gilmore noted that SarahforGovernor.com and SarahforArkansas.com were registered on the same day in May.

Lots of speculation in Arkansas today but it is interesting to note that these two websites were registered anonymously on the same day just last month in May. https://t.co/aC7DMBBbiJ and https://t.co/E6wnxHCPAZ #arpx #SarahHuckabeeSanders

Arkansas won't elect a new governor until 2022. If she runs and wins, she would replace two-term Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, a Republican first elected in 2014.

Meanwhile, Sanders recently signed on with Fox News as an on-air contributor.
