ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - In just the past week 5,300 national blood drives have been canceled because of the coronavirus scare including 235 in the Missouri, Illinois and Arkansas region,  with most of those in the St. Louis area.

St. Louis' Red Cross spokesman tells KMOX, there's supposed to be a five-day blood supply on the shelves nationally, but that has plummeted somewhere between three to four days.
