ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOX) — Tense moments Friday morning in St. Charles, where a construction worker ended up falling and getting trapped in a trench.
It happened at around 8 a.m. in the Sandford Farms subdivision near West Clay and Cave Springs.

KMOX's Rodger Brand reports the trench partially collapsed around him during an excavator accident, and that prompted the call for rescue. The patient was stabilized inside the trench and then a hauling system was built to extricate him.
