ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The participants of each event in the 2020 NHL All-Star Skills competition have been announced and two Blues players will be in the brand-new Shooting Stars event.
The All-Stars will showcase their specific talents on Friday at 7 p.m. CT at Enterprise Center, as part of NHL All-Star Weekend.
The six events of the 2020 NHL All-Star Skills presented by New Amsterdam Vodka are listed below.
- Bridgestone NHL Fastest Skater- Bud Light NHL Save Streak- Honda NHL Accuracy Shooting- Elite Women's 3-on-3 presented by adidas- Enterprise NHL Hardest Shot- Gatorade NHL Shooting Stars
Blues goalie Jordan Binnington will be among the eight All-Star goalies competing in the "Save Streak," where each goalie will continue to face all 36 skaters in breakaways, until they are scored on. The goalie with the highest save streak wins.
Blues captain and defenseman Alex Pietrangelo will represent St. Louis in the "Accuracy Shooting" event. It's a timed event where a shooter is positioned 25 feet from the goal line and shoots pucks at target images that appear on an LED screen placed on the goal line.
