ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Shildt found a way to make possibly the craziest year of his life a little more interesting.
The 51-year-old is engaged. He proposed to Michelle Segrave on Tuesday night and a photo of the moment was shared on Instagram:

Shildt completed his first full season as an MLB manager this year, he won the NL Manager of the Year Award, he took the Cardinals back to the postseason for the first time since 2015 and he went viral for his pre-celebration speeches.
Unfortunately, 2019 will also be remembered as the year his mother died. Elizabeth "Lib" Shildt died in November, just a few weeks after the 2019 season ended. She was 85-years-old.
