ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis County Executive Sam Page announced that St. Louis County Parks will reopen "with some restrictions." The announcement was made during his daily morning press conference on Monday.
Page says further details about the reopening of parks will be released on Tuesday. He was asked how soon the reopening could happen and says it will be sooner than mid-May.
Page says there will be nearly 700 signs posted at its more than 70 parks to help citizens navigate trails and remind them to stay at least 6 feet apart.
In early April, all county parks were closed due to overcrowding amid the coronavirus pandemic. The City of St. Louis has not closed its parks, but vehicle traffic in all city parks has been restricted, except for some roads in Forest Park.
