ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - There was a special moment at St. Louis Lambert International Airport as a group of military veterans prepared to board a Greater St. Louis Honor Flight on Tuesday morning. They all sang "God Bless America" before boarding the flight to Washington D.C.

The group of World War II and Korean War veterans are the 91st Greater St. Louis Honor Flight to take off for the nation's capital so they can experience the memorials built in their honor. Since the local chapter launched in 2008 they have safely traveled with more than 1,500 local veterans.
