August 24, 2019 The 31-year-old Oakville High School graduate scored 10 goals and added 18 assists for the Blues last season, and helped bring the Stanley Cup home for the first time ever. He was an unrestricted free agent, after signing a one-year, $1.75 million deal with St. Louis last year.
He did not have a prolific regular season, but Maroon made up for it by scoring possibly the biggest goal in franchise history – the game-winner in double-overtime of Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Dallas Stars.

August 24, 2019 Tampa Bay set the record for most wins in a season last year (62), but exited the playoffs via a sweep by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round.
Maroon will be reunited with his old junior hockey coach Jon Cooper, who coached the St. Louis Bandits and is the current Lightning's head coach.
St. Louis will host Maroon's new club on Nov. 19.
