Yankton is a minimum-security federal prison for male inmates. Stenger resigned in April after being federally indicted on honest services bribery and mail fraud charges.
Stenger asked the court at his sentencing if he could delay reporting to prison until after the birth of his third child, due in mid-September. Yankton was also one of two prisons requested by Stenger's team. Stenger was apparently concerned about being in prison with former clients.
Stenger was a practicing attorney before his legal troubles caught up to him.
