CLAYTON, Mo. (KMOX) — The Saint Louis County Council unanimously passed a resolution on the proposed privatization of Lambert Airport. Chairman Ernie Trakas is the sponsor of the resolution, he initially held up on it, at the request of the Saint Louis of NAACP President Adolphus Pruitt.

"This is a regional asset that impacts and will affect tens of millions of people in the region," Trakas told KMOX. "And so the idea somehow that should be considered for privatization by a kabal of paid consultants, who not just seek but will gain if privatization goes forward is at heart. It should not be allowed." The resolution is completely symbolic as it puts no obligation on the City to comply. Trakas tells KMOX, if the privatization goes forward behind closed doors "it will make the Stenger Administration's corruption look mild by comparison."
