MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (KMOX) — Police have identified the suspect shot and killed by Maryland Heights Police Sunday as 42-year-old Bradley Arning. St. Louis County Police say, shortly after 10:30 in the morning, three Maryland Heights officers opened fire on Arning after he allegedly drew a handgun at the officers at a home on Briarcote Lane.

The officers had responded to a disturbance at the home.
Arning was rushed to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A handgun was recovered at the scene, which is pictured above. The St. Louis County Police Department's Bureau of Crimes Against Persons is now handling the investigation.
The three Maryland Heights officers involved were:
- A sergeant, 62 years of age with 40 years of law enforcement experience.
- An officer, 63 years of age with 43 years of law enforcement experience.
- An officer, 29 years of age with 5 years of law enforcement experience.
