WATERLOO (KMOX) -- A 14-year-old boy Monroe County boy was seriously injured in a stabbing Saturday in Waterloo.
The Republic Times reports Waterloo Police and Monroe County EMS were called to the area of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Third and Church Streets around 5 p.m.

The incident happened as the Waterloo homecoming parade was starting.
A 14-year-old suspect was apprehended.
