(KMOX) - The wildly popular musical "Hamilton" starring Lin-Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton is coming to Disney Plus on July 3, the company announced Tuesday.
Three performances by the original Broadway cast were shot and slated for a theatrical release in October 2021. But that release date has been moved up and moved to the online streaming service.

May 12, 2020 The latest production of the musical – which swept the 2016 Tony Awards and was named the best musical that year – was suppose to be on stage at The Fox Theater in St. Louis from May 5 through June 7. The show was postponed due to health concerns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Fox is in discussion with the show's producers to reschedule the engagement and hopes to announce that information soon.
