St. Louis natives coming home with USMNT to play at Busch Stadium

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - When the Stars and Stripes come to Busch Stadium for an international friendly against Uruguay, there will be some hometown boys represented on the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team. Both Tim Ream and Josh Sargent, who were born in St. Louis and now play professionally in Europe were named to the USMNT's September roster by head coach Gregg Berhalter. 

The 26 players who will represent the U.S. in upcoming matches against Mexico and Uruguay Players will report to camp on Sept. 1 in New Jersey. The region’s fiercest rivalry resumes for the 70th edition of USA-Mexico on Friday, Sept. 6 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Four days later, the USMNT returns to the soccer hotbed of St. Louis to take on No. 5-ranked Uruguay on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Busch Stadium at 7 p.m.

Besides Ream and Sargent, headlining the roster is new Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic, who has collected two assists in four competitive appearances for the English Premier League side this season.

This game will be the second for Ream in St. Louis, as he represented the USA in Busch Stadium in a 6-1 World Cup Qualifying win against St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Nov. 13, 2015.
