ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis joined numerous other U.S. cities holding gay pride parades on Sunday.
Rainbow colors filled Market Street to recognize 40 years of Pride STL work locally and the 50th anniversary of the infamous police raid on the Stonewall Inn in New York.
Around 300,000 people attended last year's PrideFest. Sunday's Grand Pride Parade drew large crowd, despite heat and humidity.
The theme of this year's Grand Pride Parade in St. Louis was "Millions of Moments."
Closing out the nearby PrideFest gathering downtown, Sunday evening's headliner on the main stage was international recording artist Taylor Dayne.
