ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — The autopsy of a St. Louis ballerina found floating in Mark Twain Lake in rural northeast Missouri is complete, but questions still remain.
The autopsy performed by the Monroe County Coroner's Office confirmed that Raffaella Stroik drowned to death. However, the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports her manner of death — meaning how she ended up in the lake or other details leading up to her death — are still unknown. There was no suicide note, nor were there any signs of a fall before she died.
At the time, authorities didn't suspect foul play in her death. Her body was found along the lake on Nov. 14, a day after her car was found at a lakeside parking lot.
