ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — America's birthday is one of the biggest bashes to be celebrated in St. Louis, and we certainly know how to do it with a BANG! Depending on when and where you're planning on taking part in the festivities this year, here's a list of options that might be suitable for you and the whole family!
Celebrate America’s Birthday 400 feet above Downtown at Three Sixty Rooftop Bar for their Star Spangled Fireworks Park. With prime viewing of the Fair Saint Louis Fireworks display, this will be a popular spot to see the fireworks over the Gateway Arch from 7-10pm.
On Wednesday, July 3, enjoy music by “The South Side Johnny Band” under the stars in the Veterans Memorial Amphitheater and a brilliant fireworks display to usher in another fun, filled celebration in honor of our country’s birth. This year, the Blast will feature a concert from 7 to 9 p.m., with fireworks to follow. Admission and parking are free and concessions are available for purchase. Blankets, picnic baskets, and coolers are welcome.
O’Fallon’s Heritage and Freedom Fest
Celebrate America’s birthday with an explosion of fun including live music, a parade, carnival, kids activities, food and fireworks at O’Fallon’s Heritage & Freedom Fest on July 2, 3 and 4. Admission to the festival grounds at the Ozzie Smith Sports Complex is free.
Celebrate Independence Day in Webster Groves, July 3 – 6. Community Days is a four-day celebration featuring a carnival, BBQ, parade, and fireworks. It’s truly an old-fashioned event that draws visitors from around the St. Louis area. The festivities are held at Memorial Park and Action Park (check the schedule to see what’s going on where), just south of Interstate 44 off the Elm Avenue exit.
Coca-Cola®July 4th Fest at Six Flags
Six Flags celebrates July 4th with several days of family fun and special events to honor the military, but unlike other community celebrations, Six Flags will celebrate starting June 30 – July 4th. The festivities include exclusive access to rides, an All-American Dance Party and, of course, fireworks.
This event featuring live entertainment will be held on July 3 at the Alton Amphitheater at Riverfront Park. The fireworks display will begin at 9:15 p.m.
Ellisville Independence Day Festival
Enjoy live music, fireworks and eat your favorite festival foods in Bluebird Park on Thursday, July 4th from 6 p.m.-10:30 p.m.
Watch the entertainment and fireworks display at 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 6 in Grafton.
A daylong festival on Thursday, July 4th complete with a parade, children’s entertainment, food, music, and fireworks at January Wabash Park.
Kirkwood Community Freedom Festival
Visitors gather in Kirkwood Park on Thursday, July 4 for the city’s annual Freedom Festival. Everyone is invited to enjoy an evening of live music, food, and fireworks, which start at 7 p.m. on Independence Day.
Chesterfield Celebration and Fireworks
The 4th of July Fireworks Celebration in Chesterfield has grown to be one of the biggest and best fireworks show in the area, presented by the City of Chesterfield. The main stage will feature live music. The main viewing area will be at the Chesterfield Mall. The firework show will begin promptly at 9:30 pm.
