ST. LOUIS (KMOX) updated with Thursday's preliminary numbers - Yesterday was a record-breaking day for the Give STL Day donation drive for regional non-profits.
The highest total in the 6th annual day's history, $3,006,346 was raised thanks to more than 24,000 individual donations.
Shortly after midnight this morning, St. Louis Community Foundation President and CEO Amilia Bond told KMOX News even the non-profits themselves got into the fundraising mood, matching donations during "Power Hours." At one point, more than $190,000 was raised in a single hour
When Give STL Day started in 2014, it raised a total of #1.1 million dollars, meaning St. Louisans have tripled that total in six years.

If your inbox blew up this morning with donation requests, it's probably because today is the 6th annual "Give STL Day" – the 24-hour event with the goal of making a difference in the community.
It kicked off at midnight last night and since 2014, the day has raised more than $10 million for the region's non-profits. Last year, there were more than 20,000 individual donor gifts which totals more than $2.4 million.
At GiveSTLDay.org, you can search for your favorite charities, or discover ones that match your passions. The site keeps a running total of donors and amounts.
