A St. Louis man is facing a number of charges following a wild police chase involving a golf cart in the Florida Keys.
Authorities say deputies began following Parks Terry while he was driving a golf cart in the gated Ocean Reef resort neighborhood in Upper Key Largo Monday morning. Police say he was found passed out in the golf cart around 5 a.m. and when they woke him up he drove off.
Terry was driving erratically and yelling obscenities at the officers. He eventually arrived at his mother's home, where he wrestled a paramedic to the ground. While other officers came to assist in Terry's arrest, police say he "growled like a dog" and "kept rubbing his face in the broken glass on the floor."
A deputy shocked him with a stun gun and he was arrested.
His charges include felony fleeing and eluding police, felony resisting arrest and felony criminal mischief, as well as a misdemeanor driving under the influence charge. Terry was taken to a hospital and was being held in jail with no bond listed, according to the Miami Herald.
