St. Louis Post-Dispatch Offers 15 Buyout Packages to Staff

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has offered buyout packages to some of its employees.

They're being offered to United Media Guild members who are at least 50 years of age and have at least 10 years of "continuous employment" at the Post by March 4th of this year.

A maximum fo 15 volunteers will be accepted until March 4th.

Five newsroom employees were laid off last summer.

Lee Enterprises, the owners of the paper, reported a 4-point-1 percent drop in revenue in September.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has offered voluntary separation packages to eligible, non-represented, full-time employees and represented members of the United Media Guild. Eligible employees must be 50 years of age and have at least 10 years of continuous employment by March 4, 2019. A maximum of 15 volunteers will be accepted. This offer is valid until March 4, 2019.
