ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — St. Louis Jewish rock musician Rick Recht and his family gathered in the name of the Blues for a parody version of the hockey team's winning anthem "Gloria."

Recht joined in the performance by his wife, Elisa Recht and sons Kobi Recht (bottom left) and Tal Recht (right).

And if for some reason you're not familiar with the story of why Laura Branigan's 1982 hit song has become the 2019 victory anthem for the hit in the Blues locker room, click here for the explanation

Here are the lyrics written by Recht:

Gloria - We're really on a run now, running for the Stanley Cup, yeah.
We've got to get it somehow,we're never gonna slow down.
Cause we're not gonna blow it,we know we're heading for the finals.
This is the year we're gonna own it.We've got a secret weapon, Binnington is in the net.Alex P is in our head, calling gloria!
Gloria, gloria.
We've got Vladi Tarasenko (Gloria!)And if you want to get punished, (Gloria!)We're gonna hit you with Parayko
And if you need an answer, ask the boys on every lineOhhh, they're calling gloria!
Gloria, (Gloria!) 2019 is the number (Gloria!)You've even got Yadi (Gloria!)And Waino in your corner.
We're gonna raise those sticks high, raise our voices loud and sing. When the Saints Go Marching In, calling gloria!
GO BLUES!!!!

*We did notice the spelling errors of Jordan Binnington and Vladimir Tarasenko's names, but lets just appreciate Rick for his work to create this video to go with his awesome song!*
