
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — Two St. Louis aldermen are fighting back against the "Better Together" city-county merger plan -- they want to recall the mayor of St. Louis.
Two north St. Louis aldermen, John Collins-Muhammad and Brandon Bosley, say Mayor Lyda Krewson has "betrayed local voters."
They say it's a racist plan that would dilute African-American political power if the city and county were to merge. They also believe local voters would have less say — if any at all — over how taxes are spent.
When asked how they are going to recall Krewson, and how many signatures they have gathered, Bosley said, "You never show a lamb the blade you're coming with."
