ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) —  The Danforth Campus of Washington University was on lockdown after a staff member was robbed at a nearby MetroLink station.

The robbery happened around 7 a.m. Wednesday at the Big Bend station. The suspect fled the station and may have ran onto the Washington University campus itself.

However, about 20 minutes after the lockdown went into effect, Washington University officials lifted the lockdown after campus police determined the suspect fled the entire area.

The campus is now safe to resume normal activities.
