TMZ reports that Carl Reiner died at his Beverly Hills home Monday night. He was 98 years old.
The award-winning actor, producer and director has more than 400 film credits and has won numerous awards in his seven decades in the business.
The Bronx-born legend was best known for his role as Alan Brady on the "The Dick Van Dyke Show."
His TV credits include: "Two and a Half Men," "Hot in Cleveland" and "House," “Frasier," "Mad About You," "Ally McBeal," and appeared in the films "Ocean's 11" and "Ocean's Thirteen."
Reiner worked as a machinist, according to Variety, and entered the Army during WWII.
In January, the Hollywood community mourned the multi-talented screenwriter and director Buck Henry, who died of a heart attack in Los Angeles on Wednesday at the age of 89.
Henry wrote or co-wrote multiple films now considered classics, including 1967's "The Graduate," 1970's "Catch 22," 1973's "What's Up, Doc?" 1978's "Heaven Can Wait" and 199 "To Die For."
Along with Brooks, he co-creator television's classic spy-spoof sitcom "Get Smart," which aired on NBC from 1965-69 and on CBS from 1969-70.
