Disney’s recent investors presentation brought fans many exciting announcements, but for those nostalgic for the 90’s, the most thrilling of them all was the release of the first official trailer for the ‘Mighty Ducks’ reboot.

After news of a potential reboot series was first announced two years ago, ‘Mighty Ducks: Game Changers’ is finally set to be released on Disney+ in 2021.

The trailer sees the return of the film’s original star, Emilio Estevez, as Coach Gordon Bombay.

The 10-episode series will be a continuation of the original 1992 film, which produced two sequel movies as well, along with an animated series and an actual NHL franchise.

The new series will star Estevez, along with Lauren Graham and Brady Noon. While not much is known about the reboot, it will follow Graham’s character as she enlists Coach Bombay to help coach her son’s hockey team.

Fans are hoping to see some more familiar faces pop up throughout the series, though at this time only the return of Estevez has been announced.

While an exact premiere date hasn’t been announced, fans are now getting excited for the series’ eventual return. Just as they did in the 90’s, the ducks are still flying together.
