That's a wrap on our 3rd annual Bikes for Tykes event.

Despite the cold temps, the listeners of Entercom St. Louis came out to support in full force for the Bikes for Tykes campaign benefitting the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots Holiday Campaign!

The final numbers are as follows:

- A little over $97,000 was raised throughout corporate partners and listeners

- With those funds and the generosity of the listeners, we will have collected over 1900 bikes and over 1600 helmets

- We also filled a 53-ft. trailer with new toys

Here are some of the highlights:

- Jim Butler Chevrolet kicked off the event on Friday afternoon with a parade of bikes that featured Santa in a corvette leading a sleigh of Chevy Trucks filled with bikes. They then presented a check for $50,000 that had they collected over the past 4 weeks!

- Lion's Choice then stepped up with a check for $24,850 they had collected throughout the month of November during their round-up at the register for Toys for Tots during the month of November.

- Sugarfire Smokehouse raised $7,600 from their Toys for Tots Tuesday program that ran from November 12th - December 10th

- Citi employees collected and raised close to $10,000 in bikes and held a special employee day in November where they teamed up and assembled them all in about 2 1/2 hours

- Overhead Door Company of St. Louis contributed funds to purchase another 80 bikes

- Spire joined the campaign a short time ago and showed up with a truck full of bikes and many trucks carrying 50 boxes of new, unwrapped toys AND supplied over 20 Spire volunteers who spent a few hours on Friday afternoon assembling the bikes

- SSM Health Physical Therapy not only supplied volunteers the entire weekend but made it a mission to ensure that for every bike, it came with a new helmet

- Ferguson Roofing and their employees who donated more bikes!

- And of course, our listeners, who came out and continued to donate new toys, bikes and monetary funds throughout the week.

And a special thanks to all of our community partners including GJ Grewe (Grew-EE), Lowe's Fenton, Crawford-Butz and Associates Insurance, Schnucks and Missouri Department of Transportation and the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety

All of the donations will help ensure that St. Louis area children have a gift under the tree this Holiday Season!
