ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - For the first time ever, St. Louis Blues superfan Laila Anderson is meeting the man who gave her a new lease on life.
She will share the stage at the Be The Match Soiree fundraising event in St. Louis Thursday night with 19-year-old Kenton Femlee of Kansas. He calls Laila an inspiration and recently told KCTV, "I truly can't wait to wrap her in a hug and tell her how much she means to me."
Tickets for the event are sold out, but you can watch the emotional moment online for a $100 donation to the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry.
Felmlee he was inspired to become a donor because both his father and a teacher donated bone marrow to save a life.
"I think it's hard for me to put into words how much she means to me and how much she inspired me," Felmlee told KCTV.
