Downtown St. Louis will shine brighter than ever before, thanks to new lights

Kelley also envisions using yellow lights following games -- essentially a "yellow brick road" to guide people to parking and post-game drinks.

Private donations are funding the more than $4 million project, which is being completed in six phases -- fundraising is underway. Kelley says downtown has a perception problem -- and upgraded lighting will help.
