ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOX/CBS) — On a hot September day last week, a St. Peters woman left a can of dry shampoo in her car.
When she returned to her car, she found the can exploded and blew a hole through her sunroof.
"If it had happened when she got into the car after she got off work, the glass itself would have been devastating! We were all just shocked and had no idea what happened...we thought maybe something fell from the sky!"
The bottle, from Walmart's "Equate" line of generic products, does feature a label which warns against heating the product.
The mother says a dry shampoo from a different brand was also in the car, but did not explode.
