Graffiti artists from around the world paint 'The Mural Mile' in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Some of the top street and graffiti artists from around the world have been in town participating in a world-record-setting event that many St. Louisans may not even be aware of. It's called Paint Louis and since Friday, artists have been painting the flood wall south of the Gateway Arch.

The event became so big, it set a Guinness world record for the longest mural in the world – at 2 miles – but got too big. So now it's an invite-only event.

Take Chouteau Ave. all the way to the Mississippi River and take in the artwork along "The Mural Mile" as soon as you can. By Wednesday, people will already be painting over it because it's usually a public wall, but for five days of the year, they have a permit from the city for Paint Louis.

Our Debbie Monterrey was there over the holiday weekend to take photos.
