ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The St. Louis Wheel has made even further progress as photos have shown the installment of several gondolas.

St. Louis Wheel officials say about a dozen will be installed on Tuesday, and the rest will be finished by the end of the week.
The wheel and its 42 climate-controlled gondolas will feature more than 1 million customizable lights to be able to perform nightly light shows and will be open 365 days a year.
Officials will be performing a light test at night in a couple of weeks, and are expecting to be open in early October.
