ST. LOUIS (KMOX) updated at 9:10 a.m. - St. Louis County Police have determined that two "fire-producing devices" were thrown onto the roof at the Kutis Funeral Home on Lemay Ferry Rd., Friday morning. Investigators have been looking into the cause of the two alarm fire.
When KMOX arrived on the scene of the fire in South County just before 6 a.m., fire crews were battling flames on top of the tallest of the three building at the funeral home.
The damage looked minimal from an outside view, just some sections of roof shingles ruined by the flames.
Police tell KMOX it's too soon to say if arson was a possibility.
No word yet on if the 11 a.m. funeral service that was scheduled at Kutis this morning will still take place without interruption.
