PHOTOS: A preview of renovations at The Muny ahead of season opening

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — It's been nearly a year since The Muny announced its Second Century Capital Campaign. This week executives of the outdoor theater said they've raised $72 million so far out of a goal of $100 million.
Sean Smith, the Muny's Director of Operations, reminded us this is a total overhaul. So what will patrons see new this season?
"They will see the value of our shows go up exponetially. We're putting all these new tools in place. Up until this point we've been building the shows for today in a facility that's been patched together for over 100 years. So now we have all the tools in place so we can take our shows to the next level." Smith said.
The Muny will be ready for shows next month — but Smith says some of the architectural elements will be built next year.
