PICS: Firefighters rescue German Shepherd that chased cat up a tree
(KMOX) - It's well known that every so often firefighters are called to perform a rescue operation on a cat getting stuck in a tree, but it's not very common to find a dog up in the branches as well.
Yet that's the unusual scene members of the Lathrop Manteca Fire District in California faced recently. They were called out to rescue a German Shepherd who found itself stuck at the top of a tree along with the cat it chased.
Photos posted to the department's Facebook page show the before and after scenes, with the first responders successfully aiding both to the ground.
"Glad to hear that all turned out well for this pooch, and we are all pretty sure he'll think twice about chasing cats up the next tree...nice work Engine 35!" read the caption.
