PICS: Senator Sanders rallies supporters in St. Louis, one day before Missouri votes
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -- Senator Bernie Sanders made a stop in downtown St. Louis on Monday, one day before what the Missouri primary.
Sanders supporters showed up early and waited in line to see the presidential candidate in person.
Taylor from Cape Girardeau traveled to see Senator Sanders because he believes in 'Medicare for all' and 'The Green New Deal.'
The majority of the crowd that came to see Senator Sanders were young voters, some of whom will vote for the very first time this year.
Senator Sanders has yet to 'take the gloves off' and go after Joe Biden but he did make a few comments on Biden's voting record.
"Joe Biden voted for the war in Iraq. I voted against the war in Iraq. Joe Biden voted for the Wall Street Bailout. I helped lead the effort against the Wall Street Bailout. Joe voted for disastrous trade agreements which have been horrific for the midwest... I helped lead the effort against those terrible trade agreements," Senator Sanders said to an enthusiastic crowd.
Just two days ago, Joe Biden held a rally downtown in Kiener Plaza.
An estimated 1,500 people attended the Biden event while the Sanders camp says 2,850 people showed up to his rally today.
