St. Louis Aquarium opens to the public

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — The St. Louis Aquarium is now open, and early impressions are good.
KMOX spoke to a couple from South City on Christmas. Steven says he had a good time.
"I think they had it set up really well. It didn't take very long to get into the Aquarium, even with the really long lines. We had the annual pass — we got it for Christmas — and it's already worth it. It was an awesome little adventure."
Steven was with Kaitlyn. We asked her what she thought.
"I really liked the stingrays. We got to touch some animals, which I thought was awesome. They had some exotic seahorses that looked like plants — they were really cool, too!"
Jill and her daughter Bailey came up from Kirkwood.
"I thought it was really wonderful! There was a ton of season pass holders, the line was huge!"
What was Bailey's favorite thing?
"I liked the ropes course a lot. I would definitely do it again."
The ropes course was also a favorite of three kids from Barnhart. Their father Dustin spoke to KMOX.
"They were kind of all over the place. My daughter loved the ropes course, and inside the aquarium, there was an area where the fish would come up to your hand. That was really fun, the interactive part."
Overall, Dustin feels optimistic about the Aquarium.
"I think this place is going to be just lively all the time. I still remember coming down here as a kid to Union Station, when it WAS lively, so I'm ecstatic that (Union Station) is back."
