St. Louis Wheel opening date revealed

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — The St. Louis Wheel will open at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, at Union Station. That's one day earlier than expected.

Tickets will be $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 3 to 12. Once it opens, it'll be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. all 365 days of the year.

The 15-minute ride features eight-passenger, climate-controlled gondolas and a view of St. Louis that stretches nearly 20 miles. The Wheel boasts 1.6 million LED lights in over 16 million colors. 

In addition to the Wheel itself, the grand opening will feature a classic carousel and an 18-hole mini-golf course.
