In the wake of recent deaths of area youth due to gunfire, The Charlie Brennan Show with Amy Marxkors hosted a town hall forum on urban gun violence on Friday, Aug. 23 at our KMOX studios.
We were joined by Harvard University's Thomas Abt, author of "Bleeding Out: The Devastating Consequences of Urban Violence and a Bold New Plan for Peace in the Streets," as well as Lewis Reed, President of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen, James Clark, vice president of community outreach at Better Family Life and other community leaders.
The discussion was held in front of an audience of dozens of St. Louis residents and media members, doctors and more.
