ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) - The summer of Lord Stanley's trip through St. Louis still isn't over. The trophy won by the St. Louis Blues – for the first time in franchise history – was back in the area at Castlio Elementary School in the Francis Howell School District, Thursday.

Blues Head Equipment Manager Joel Farnsworth wanted to share the experience with the students at Castlio as well as his own children who attend the school: fourth-grader Abby and first-grader Joel. They pretty much won show-and-tell day this school year:

The visit was a total surprise for most of the 800 students and staff at Castlio.

"We would never have imagined in January that we would be lifting the Stanley Cup in June," said Farnsworth. "I'm really glad that we were able to bring it here to Castlio and share it with the kids and staff. The smiles you see on everyone's faces and the excitement to see the Cup up close is pretty darn cool."

The Cup will stay in St. Louis at least through Saturday, as it's expected to make an appearance at the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 IndyCar Race at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway, Saturday. Both Blues Stanley Cup Champions Alex Pietrangleo and Colton Parayko will be there with the Cup.
