Waterloo has quietly been undergoing a historic revival

When you think of downtown revitalization you probably don't think about Waterloo, Ill. But as KMOX's Brian Kelly tells us, the town 25 miles south of the Gateway Arch with 11,000 residents is seeing a historic revival.
A few years ago there wasn't much here in downtown Waterloo, an antique store, a tavern and those types of things. But over the past few years the area around the Monroe County Courthouse has seen breweries, a wine bar, restaurants, craft shops and a flower shop open.
Next, a business incubator and loft apartments are on the way.
