(KMOX) - One of the toughest big men to come through the Saint Louis University basketball program in recent history is looking to go pro in another sport: football. Hasahn French is currently on a tryout with the NFL's Tennessee Titans for this week's mandatory minicamp.

The 6-foot-7, 240-pound forward, who was one of the top shot-blockers and rebounders in the Atlantic 10 Conference his senior season last year, is trying out at tight end. He's the second non-football player the team has brought in this week, following All-American wrestler from Michigan Adam Coon looking for a shot on the offensive line.

Video was shared on Twitter of French running through some blocking and receiving drills:

During his senior season, French was the No. 4 active leader in blocks (224) and No. 5 in rebounds (972). He finished his SLU career with the most blocks in school history and fourth all-time in rebounds.

You don't have to search long to find his athletic highlights:

If French makes a successful switch to football, he'll follow the likes of Antonio Gates, Darren Fells and Mo Allie Cox who all made the switch from college basketball to the NFL, having no college football experience.

What makes French's story even crazier is that SLU doesn't even have a football team.
