ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - It's the site of three major championships: the U.S. Open in 1965, and the PGA Championship in 1992 and 2018.

Not to mention: the U.S. Mid-Amateur in 1981, the U.S. Senior Open in 2004, the BMW Championship in 2008 and the Senior PGA Championship in 2013.
In 2001, the American Express Championship was to be played there, but was canceled due to the tragic events of 9/11.
In 2030, it will host the Presidents Cup, a series of golf matches between the United States and an international team.
The golf world certainly has had its eyes on Bellerive Country Club through the years.
But rarely does the private club allow camera footage on its golf layout outside of a televised event, which made the October 31, 2021 recording of the "Golf Happy Hour" such a special occasion.
Stifel CEO Ron Kruszewski, a member at Bellerive, hosted Tom Ackerman and Marina Horton for a look at one of America's best courses.
The "Golf Happy Hour," sponsored by Ascension, McKelvey Homes and Rosalita's Cantina, is a video series featuring golf courses and the people who play them. Ackerman and Horton recorded seven episodes in 2021:
• Gateway PGA executive director Ali Wells and Missouri Athletic Club GM Wally Smith at Glen Echo Country Club
• Saint Louis University athletic director Chris May and basketball coaches Travis Ford and Lisa Stone at Norwood Hills Country Club
• Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith and NFL great Willard Harrell at the Country Club of St. Albans
• Three-time Stanley Cup champion Pat Maroon and baseball coach Andy Marks at Meadowbrook Country Club
• Blues TV analyst Darren Pang and PGA professional Adam Betz at Family Golf & Learning Center
• Stifel CEO Ron Kruszewski at Bellerive Country Club
• Ascension EVP Nick Ragone and professional golfer Jay Williamson at Norwood Hills CC (to be released in early January)
