ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The 2024 NFL and college football seasons are over, but there will still be football on for fans this spring.
The 2025 United Football League (UFL) regular season will get underway on Friday, March 28 as the St. Louis Battlehawks begin the season in Space City taking on the Houston Roughnecks.
The Battlehawks' first home game of 2025 at the Dome at America's Center will take place in April as they host the San Antonio Brahmas.
"We got an exceptional roster and for the last two years, we've made some strides, winning seven games (two years ago), almost making the playoffs, last year winning seven games and making the playoffs," said Battlehawks head coach Anthony Becht on 'Total Information A.M.' "Our goal is to get over the hump and make the championship."
"To take that continuous trajectory is important to me and my players."
Before the season gets underway, there will be a Battlehawks kickoff event at Ballpark Village on Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. where Battlehawks fans will get the chance to catch up with Becht and some of their favorite Battlehawks players.
"We're just going to talk some ball, take questions, whatever the fans want to get into," said Becht. "There may be an inch or so of snow possibly coming down. I know nobody wants to see that, but please don't let that deter anybody from coming out to the event."
Becht says it's important for the Battlehawks fanbase to 'continue to grow.'
"Get your tickets, we need you out there," said Becht. "It's been fun. Every game we've had (at the Dome) has been exciting. We won every single game at home except the playoff game. We're going to make that right this year going into 2025."
"We need every single fan that was there last year and the year before. If you are kind of wavering, it's a cheap ticket, it's a great show, great experience. It's a fun valuable time and a fast game."
