The Trenton Thunder is a collegiate summer baseball team which uses a Golden Retriever to do what retrievers do, go out and fetch things. And this good boy brings baseball bats back to the dugout.

This week, the Thunder loaned out their bat dog "Rookie" to the Blue Jays' Triple-A Buffalo Bisons for a home game.
He was a little late for the dog days of August but, in the middle of an at-bat, Rookie waits until the pitcher was about to go into his wind-up and then trots out on the field.
Evidently for the fun of it, he runs out to the mound, stops, wags his tail a few times, turns around and lopes back to the dugout.
Incidentally, the batter at the time was Bisons infielder Cavan Biggio, son of Hall-of-Famer Craig Biggio.
