Cover your ears, kids.

Sunday’s Nickelodeon broadcast of the New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears Wild Card round game was getting all sorts of rave reviews within the social media world – especially for its end zone slime cannons – but the live broadcast was not necessarily “kidproof” throughout the duration of the game.

In the second quarter as an official was announcing a penalty, a loud “what the f—k?” was picked up by the mic and broadcast on Nick – whose audience surely consisted of young children watching the game.

It appeared to have come from Bears kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson.

The announcers seemed to freeze in the moment – not sure whether or not to address it – but then quickly moved on back to the game.

It is nearly impossible to avoid these kinds of things on live TV, especially in a football game. These things can slip through, even if there is a delay where someone can mute it out.

Hopefully, any kids watching the game don’t add it to their vocabulary – at least not for a few years.

Fans on social media reacted in amusement to the F-bomb.
