ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Canada has announced their roster for the 2024 World Championships in the Czech Republic and it will feature three St. Louis Blues players.

Goaltending duo Joel Hofer and Jordan Binnington, along with defenseman Colton Parayko were among the 22-players named to Canada roster for the 2024 World Championships, which will begin Friday, May 10th.

All three players saw terrific seasons for the Blues, who barely missed the NHL Playoffs this past season in a retool year.

Parayko had a good season in his ninth full season in the NHL, as he was able to play all 82 games for the first time since 2017-18 and reached double digit goals for the first time since 2019-20.

Binnington was arguably the team's MVP this season. While the normal numbers of a 2.84 GAA and a .913 save percentage don't seem elite at first, Binnington posted those numbers while facing the fourth most shots against in all of the NHL.

Analytically, Binnington posted a .600 quality save percentage ( over .530 is considered good) the first time since 2018-19. Along that, his 16.6 Goals Saved Above Average (GSAA) was tied for fifth in the NHL and overall posted a Goalie Point Shares on 11.9, which was second on the NHL.

Hofer served as a quality backup goaltender to Binnington in his first full season in the NHL, posting an overall .913 save percentage with a 2.65 GAA. Analytically, he saw a .593 quality save percentage and save 8.6 GSAA.

All three will join Blues Assistant Coach Steve Ott in the Czech Republic, who was named a coach for Team Canada in April.
