Blues Acquire Forward Kevin Hayes From The Flyers In Exchange For A 2024 Sixth-Round Pick

(June 27, 2023) – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the team has acquired forward Kevin Hayes from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.

Hayes, 31, was originally drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round, 24th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.  The 6’5, 216-pound forward has spent the past four seasons with the Flyers and in 2022-23, he tallied 54 points (18 goals, 36 assists) and 23 penalty minutes in 81 regular-season games, earning a selection to the 2023 NHL All-Star Game.  Overall, the Dorchester, Massachusetts, native has appeared in nine NHL seasons, amassing 386 points (155 goals, 231 assists) and 205 penalty minutes in 634 career regular-season games as well as 26 points (eight goals, 18 assists) in 56 career postseason games.
